Plantation of immortelle

Five years ago, not far from Paraćin, a plantation of immortelle was established. The immortelle, also known as the dwarf everlast, is a Mediterranean herb, often used in cosmetics because it is said it’s an immortal plant which helps with retaining youthful skin. From this plant in the distillery, the owner Novica Šutić extracts essential oils which are sold in the European and American market. Thanks to the immortelle, that whole region has acquired a wonderful scent, and the pickers go home engulfed in the most idyllic smells. Besides the Mediterranean yellow immortelle, there is also a wild and a white species.
